Choose Your Occulert App
Use the browser monitor now, or follow your private pilot invitation for the iPhone app and optional Watch companion. Their local histories, sign-in sessions and update delivery are separate.
Check compatibility before a fleet trial
These are documented setup paths, not a guarantee for every phone or operating-system version. Occulert has not published a fully tested device list. Confirm each participating device while parked before including it in a trial.
- iPhone browser: open the website in Safari, allow the front camera, and keep the page visible with the screen awake.
- Android browser: open the website in Chrome, allow the front camera, and keep the page visible with the screen awake. There is no native Android app in this pilot.
- Native iPhone: install the exact private TestFlight build offered to you. Website changes do not update that build.
- Apple Watch: use only as an optional companion to a paired iPhone. It does not run the camera monitor by itself.
With the phone mounted and parked, verify camera tracking, the monitoring-state display, the intended sound/vibration route, and restart guidance after an interruption. Repeat under the lighting and eyewear conditions expected for ordinary use. If these checks fail, pause that device's participation and contact support.
Browser monitor
Open the browser driver app in Safari on iPhone or Chrome on Android while online. You can use it in the browser or add it to your Home Screen. Core local monitoring does not require an account.
iPhone browser setup
Open Safari
Visit occulert.com/app.html while connected.
Open Share
Use Safari's Share control, or open the page menu and choose Share, depending on your layout.
Add to Home Screen
Choose Add to Home Screen. If Open as Web App is offered, enable it, then add the icon.
Android browser setup
Open Chrome
Visit occulert.com/app.html while connected.
Open the menu
Choose Install and create shortcut, then Install. Menu wording may differ by browser version.
Follow the prompts
Open the resulting icon and complete the parked camera setup.
A Home Screen web app runs the website. Camera, audio, vibration and offline availability depend on the device and browser. Keep it visible with the screen awake. Visit while online and allow the offline bundle to finish before relying on cached files; cloud and map services still need connectivity.
Private iPhone and Watch pilot
The native iPhone app and optional Watch companion are distributed through private TestFlight invitations. Follow your invitation to install or update the iPhone app, then install the companion on your paired Watch if you want to try Watch alerts.
The iPhone remains the primary monitoring and alert device. Keep camera monitoring in the foreground and complete the parked setup. A Watch is optional, and a connection status does not guarantee that a notification or vibration was delivered.
A public App Store release is planned. You can express interest in the pilot; submitting interest does not guarantee an invitation. Existing participants can use Watch setup guidance.
Website updates arrive separately from TestFlight updates. Use the version and build shown in iPhone Settings inside Occulert when asking for help.
Before starting: Park safely, secure the phone, allow camera access and follow the displayed readiness steps. Do not handle the app while moving. Occulert is a supplemental prototype and may miss events or trigger false alerts.
